These are some of the names I came up with during the planning phase of my magazine. You can see that I went with one of the original ideas and chose RIFF Magazine.
This is a draft I made of my magazine front cover before I created my real cover. Looking at this draft and then my real design, you can see that I did stick with some of my original ideas such as the freebie circle, the main cover line position and angle, the selling line below the masthead, and the location of the main interview names.
While creating my front cover, I originally went with the colour blue but I did not think this fitted the style and genre of my magazine. In the end I went with red as it can represent a dark and more violent tone which is what you want from a Rock and Skater magazine.
