Mood Board - Target Audience

This is my mood board that shows what I think the target audience consists of for my magazine genre. The mood board shows people at gigs because people that listen to rock music are much more likely to go to a festival/gig. The image that shows a security guard carrying out a rock fan represents how the rock community is known to be violent.
The mood board also shows shirts that rock fans might wear. Many rock fans like to wear their favorite bands merchandise to show appreciation to that band and show others that they like them. My mood board also shows the shoes that a reader might wear. A lot of people that read rock magazines and listen to rock music are also people that skateboard. The shoes and teenagers at the top of the mood board show what a skater might wear.
People that read the magazine and listen to rock music are much more likely to be in a band so magazines might include tips or something that a band might be looking to read.
My mood board shows a room that has a lot of posters on its walls. It is known that many rock fans like to fill their room with posters and most rock magazines include free posters and I also plan to do this with mine.
You can see a few album covers on the mood board because people that listen to rock tend to still purchase physical albums much more often than digitally downloading them. Rock fans also listen to a bands older music.

Mood Board - Advertisement

I have researched what companies might want to advertise in my magazine by looking at other rock magazines and skateboarding magazines. Skateboard companies like enjoi, anti-hero and toy machine will want to advertise in my magazine because a large portion of the skater community listen to rock music and vice versa. Music companies like Skull Candy, Bose and Marshall will want to advertise their headphones and other music equipment in the magazine because rock fans tend to be in bands and listen to music on a regular basis.

Mood Board - Colours & Fonts

My magazine is focused on rock music and some skateboarding, so I will want a font that represents these genres. The fonts I have chosen, I personally think would look good on the front of a rock magazine.
The colour schemes I have chosen would go well in a rock magazine because of the black on other colours. I want to make sure that the colour scheme I choose includes black because I want to stick to the conventions of rock magazines.
